Film Synopsis
Christmas in Connecticut (1945) concerns an unmarried New York food writer whose popular column presents her as an accomplished cook and Connecticut farm wife. When her publisher arranges a holiday visit for a recovering sailor and decides to accompany him, she borrows a farmhouse and improvises a family to protect her job. This holiday romantic comedy builds a domestic farce around mistaken assumptions and interrupted courtship, as attraction to her guest complicates the performance of married life.
